In the first External Quality Assessment (EQA) carried out in 2018 by The Shanghai Centre for Clinical Laboratory (SCCL), Genecast’s results for the detection of seven EQA items: EGFR gene mutation (tissue), KRAS gene mutation, BRAF gene mutation, EML4-ALK fusion gene, ROS1 fusion gene, EGFR gene mutation (peripheral blood) and PIK3CA gene mutation, were completely consistent with the official reference and passed the EQA of SCCL.

The Shanghai Center for Clinical Laboratory (SCCL) is one of the only three laboratory organizations in China that have been successfully certified by the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (IFCC) and the EQA making it highly authoritative. The delightful outcome achieved in this EQA is the result of constantly improved detection, analysis technology and strict control of laboratory quality. It also reflects Genecast’s highly stable, professional and reliable testing competency in genetic testing and fully affirms the standard management of quality system.
