Genecast Passes 2019 International ctDNA Gene Mutation Detection EQA with Full Marks

The National Center for Clinical Laboratories (NCCL) released its “2019 International ctDNA Gene Mutation Detection External Quality Assurance Results”. Genecast scored full marks once again!

The International ctDNA Gene Mutation Detection EQA is a joint effort between the NCCL and the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia Quality Assurance Programs, with all samples prepared by the NCCL. Participants in the assessment include Chinese and Australian laboratories engaged in ctDNA gene mutation detection.

The competition in 2019 proved even more intense than it had been in 2018. In 2018, 66 laboratories participated in the proficiency test, using next-generation sequencing (NGS) technology. Of these 60.6% attained full marks. In 2019, 125 laboratories reported findings, and though the number of participants had doubled, only 42.4% attained full marks. This again confirms Genecast’s leadership and first-class detection standards in the field of mutation detection of tumors with ctDNA.
