The European Society for Medical Oncology’s (ESMO) 2018 annual meeting will be held in Munich, Germany, from October 19 to 23. Across the world each year, the ESMO and ASCO annual meetings are the most influential events in oncology.
During the ESMO submission period this year, more than 20,000 abstracts were received from around the world. Following discussion and selection by global experts, which was coordinated by the Meeting Affairs Group, a total of close to 100 abstracts were selected for poster discussion. Of these, approximately 20 focused on lung cancer, two of which were joint research projects by Genecast and Professor Caicun Zhou’s Shanghai Pulmonary Hospital team. Their selection was yet another world debut at a leading international academic conference on oncology for an original research project by the team. It follows on from presentations made by Genecast and Professor Caicun Zhou’s Shanghai Pulmonary Hospital team at the 2018 World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC) in which they introduced three of their joint research projects.
