Recently, Dr. Fanping Wang (also Jerry), the former market expansion head of Illumina in China, joined Genecast and took charge of the business development in technology, product, and market. The founder and CEO of Genecast, Mr. Du Bo expressed a warm welcome to Jerry and believed that his extensive overseas work experience and strong management capability would prompt overall business of Genecast.
Dr. Fanping Wang was also very bullish on Genecast. He thought Mr. Du Bo was an aspiring and firm corporate leader in the beginning of their acquaintance. By keeping an eye on the performance of Genecast since its inception, and developing a further understanding of the company management structure, business development and strategy during the collaboration, Dr. Wang is more convinced that Genecast has unique competitiveness and great potential in the industry. Dr. Fanping Wang once worked in internationally famous companies such as Illumina, Baxter and Ernst & Young to serve as the market expansion head in China, deputy director of global business development, senior consultant, etc. The rich overseas work experience and nearly twenty years of experience in the life science industry give him in-depth and unique insights on all aspects of this industry. He was primarily responsible for acquisition, partnership negotiation, market analysis, financial evaluation and technical valuation in the fields of gene sequencing, chip, molecular diagnostics, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and medical devices. Meanwhile, he also made outstanding achievements in the areas of biological agents, bio-surgery, and regenerative medicine. He has significant experience in technology development, corporate strategic planning, budgeting/prediction, R&D portfolio valuation and management. Dr. Fanping Wang graduated from University of Science and Technology of China of Cell Biology, and subsequently earned his PhD in biochemistry and molecular biology from the University of Washington (St. Louis). In addition, he also received an MBA from University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
After Dr. Fanping Wang joined Genecast, he will help further improve its existing achievements, open up a diversified market and improve the overall business, which will benefit Genecast to plan next strategic layout and achieve greater goals.
